All of these images were taken in 2013 when the lava was cascading into the ocean. 
I hiked out 4 times, leaving at 3:00 am and arriving at the edge of the cliff
just before dawn. 
It was MAGNIFICENT and life-changing!

Flow.  A face spouting out lava - laughing at me!  I had accidentally crossed over where it had barely hardened, Waves of heat reached upwards and my shoes started melting!

Side Flow.  Fabulous images and faces appear as the lava twists and turns creating new land.
