This painting came through at a time of great empowerment.  The following is an excerpt from the book: 
"As I stepped into allowing that darker part of myself, knowing it was more than just O.K., but was necessary for me to be a whole person - I felt a strength pouring in.  A strength which has not left me, but which has taken me into a place of greater inner peace, and has given me teh ability to be far more honest, both in my relationship with myself and in my relationships with others.  I embraced my new power gratefully and painted a new work."

Liberation  Acrylic 24x30  Pure liberation .... when the paint started flying onto the wall, I took it outside to complete.  Such fun! - The freedom of blowing and combing paint  creating what I see as deep roots and highest peaks.

Sufi Dance. Acrylic 24x30 I had just watched an amazing performance with Baraka Moon.  The joy coming through Sukhawat Ali Khan's voice and presence
filled me and then poured onto the canvas.  I used both hands together to paint this,
expressing the balance and harmony I experienced.

Soul Freedom - exactly what I felt when I painted this one!

Ocean Diptych  Acrylic - each piece is 18x18  I love the Ocean, I have always loved the ocean - it is part of me.

Belly Dancer Acrylic 24x30 I wanted to capture not the belly dancer, but the movement, the way the gold flew off her skirt in the light and the mystery behind the veil.

Up and .....  Acrylic 30x40 Up and out of the fire, out of the past.

New Beginnings  Acrylic 30x40  I love painting galaxies, it is a good reminder that it is all SO much bigger!
